Love my roman blinds. Moved to a new house and had bought some ready made curtains. We installed them but they were just not right. Too wide on the sides which impinged on paintings and made the room look smaller. Rang a number of curtains places locally but they could or do not make ready made blinds into roman blinds. Found this company on line and spoke to them re what I wanted. They were great. Said could make them into the blinds I wanted so I sent them up - even with the lock down they were made quickly and so very professionally made. Have hung them and they look very smart and give a tidy line to the room now. I am so delighted and would absolutely recommend this company to anyone wanted beautifully, professionally made blinds. Where to start?! These guys are beyond AWESOME. For starters their range is incredible and the ease of ordering a breeze... I got friendly, prompt updates on the status of my order when Covid meant there were delays to freight getting in. I mis-measured my window and ordered the completely wrong size blind - As soon as it arrived I called them... immediately Kartika was reassuring and made me feel hopeful that I hadn’t thrown good money away. They completely refunded the blind I’d mis-ordered and deducted the amount from the new, correctly ordered blind. I couldn’t believe it. Kartika’s level of customer service is second to none and the Roman blinds are STUNNING. I’ll never go anywhere else for blinds now. A grade. ~ Mary-Jane S

We have ordered Roman Blinds many times over the years from Roman Blinds Direct and have always been very happy with the fabrics and manufacturing of the blinds. We recently moved into our brand new house and so ordered blinds, but what with the stress of moving I managed to really muck up the measurement's of our order. The blinds arrived and they just fit the window frames, needless to say we were waking every day at dawn. Anyway, I contacted Bernie and he was optimistic that the blinds could be extended and really went the extra mile to help us save our blinds. Am so impressed with the online ordering process and the support from Roman Blinds Direct. They offer free samples so you can feel and assess the fabric in your space. The online ordering process is easy and they provide clear & simple instructions (everything you need to know) on measuring your window. Email support from Bernie was responsive, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend - 5 stars ! EDIT - We've had our blinds for some months now; They were so easy to install, with the helpful instructions supplied by RBD. Very happy with the overall look and high quality. I ordered blinds during lockdown. I was pretty desperate for new blinds; our old ones were just falling apart. I was slightly hesitant to order online, not sure of colour or quality. I am so very please with the quality and the colour. Great value for money; so very pleased I took the chance. Installation MUST have been pretty straightforward as there was no cursing from my husband who hung them! :-) I highly recommend Roman Blinds Direct. UPDATE: 14 May 2024. We have been using Roman Blinds Direct for blinds in different houses since 2013 & have always very happy with the service & quality. Can highly recommend these people. They're good to do business with! We've just had motors retro-fitted to 2 of our roman blinds. They organised getting them to Hamilton from Waiheke, got them dry cleaned for me, and returned them. It's always so easy. :-) Edit February 2024 - Roman Blinds Direct get better every time we use them. A self-inflicted problem with our blinds were repaired and sorted quickly and efficiently. Amazing product and some of the best customer service I've ever had. The help and advice from Kartika with choosing accurate sizes, materials and colours for our new build was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, including sending full length samples of various linens to test colour and feel. The end result is just stunning, with beautiful fabrics for both curtains and Roman blinds and they were simple and quick to install ourselves with no problems. I got sheers, roman blinds, tracks and inverted pleat curtain blinds made by this company. I am in Auckland and they are in Hamilton so it was all done by phone and email, with photos sent of the windows. I love the window treatments we got from this company. They are beautiful, well made and reasonably priced. This company through Kartika in the office has given phenomenal service, especially over the covid lock down period which was challenging for everyone. Kartika was friendly and helpful on every communication. I got her to do several quotes before settling on orders. The blinds work very smoothly. This company is so much better than some of the shocking other curtain companies in the surrounding area who quoted for me, who were inefficient, snobby and didn’t really care and gave me the impression they were in a hurry. Roman Blinds direct will also work with fabric supplied by you, which is great. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again for any decorating projects. Awesome experience, blinds and curtains look perfect and hung well. It was a very easy and simple process from ordering samples to having a team member coming out to double check measurements and then having a team member hang them once they were made. Bernie made ordering blinds very easy and stress free. I ordered three electric blinds, two of which needed to be added to my existing remotes. He was helpful answering questions before I ordered, kept me updated after I had ordered and was prompt to respond to me once I'd received the blinds. I can't say enough good things about Roman Blinds Direct and in particular Bernie. We found RBD online with a Google search. The roman blinds we got are great, well made, the price was quite reasonable, and we got some great features others don't offer such as motorised blinds and solar panel chargers. The roman blinds do a great job of blocking out light, and raise and lower easily on their motor. The sunshade blinds are a great upgrade on our old net curtains. We had them fitted by a professional recommended by RBD, but for anyone handy you can fit them yourself quite easily. Bernie has the patience of a saint. It took us a year to decide on fabric and we asked a lot of questions along the way. Bernie always answered emails promptly and answered the phone when we called. Post sales support has been fantastic, we had a question about something and he came to have a look in Wellington when he was next down. He provided great support on how to automate the blinds, and when one of the chains on a very large heavy blind came apart he replaced the chains on all of the blinds no charge. Service from RBD is among the best we've experienced with any business. Highly recommended. ~ Tim W
